Deputy commissioner of city housing quits

Harold R. Perry resigned this week as deputy commissioner of the city Department of Housing and Community Development after six years on the job.

He was responsible for housing and building inspections, development of new neighborhood housing, community services, and administration of state and federal grants.

Mayor Kurt L. Schmoke said Perry will not be replaced for now.
