Alethea Harcum, 25, who was wounded at her West Baltimore home Sunday in an incident in which her father was fatally stabbed, remained in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, a hospital spokeswoman said yesterday.

Raymond Carter, 26, of the 3500 block of Copley Road was charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder in the incident and is being held without bail at the Central Booking and Intake Center, police said yesterday.

Meanwhile, a bank account has been established to help pay medical expenses for Harcum and funeral expenses for her father, Leroy Harcum Sr., 86.

Peter Bheda, general manager of the Omni Inner Harbor Hotel, where Ms. Harcum worked in the catering department, said donations can be sent to the Harcum Family Fund in care of First National Bank of Maryland, 25 S. Charles St., Mail Code 100-041, Baltimore 21201.
