2 men arrested in nightclub break-in try

County police arrested a Baltimore man and a Glen Burnie man yesterday on charges stemming from an attempted break-in at a Brooklyn Park nightclub.

Charles Franklin Rihtaric, 30, of the 500 block of S. Caton Ave. in Southwest Baltimore and Daniel Edward Batze, 30, of the 200 block of Georgia Ave. were charged with breaking and entering and auto theft.

Police were summoned to Johnathan's in the 5600 block of Belle Grove Road about 2 a.m. because two men were trying to break in through a rear patio door.

The men left in a 1984 Pontiac Trans Am, which police stopped on Belle Grove Road near 10th Avenue. The men fled but quickly were arrested. Police said the car had been stolen.

Electronic equipment stolen from 3 cars in Linthicum

Someone broke into three vehicles Friday in the 400 block of Susan Court in Linthicum and stole more than $1,300 worth of electronic equipment, police said.

Paul Wayne Gordon, 43, called police about 6: 30 a.m. after he found that his car had been broken into. An officer then discovered that two other vehicles on the street had been entered.

Items taken included stereo faceplates, an amplifier, speakers, a NTC cellular phone, a compact disc case and several compact discs.
