Severn man, 50, charged with indecent exposure

August 27, 1996

County police arrested a Severn man Saturday on charges of exposing himself to passing motorists while standing on Clark Station Road.

Harvey Ernest Edwards, 50, of the 7800 block of Huguenot Court was charged with indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.

Officer William D. Daughters was driving along Donaldson Ave. about 6: 30 p.m. when he was stopped near Telegraph Road by a motorist who told him that a man on Clark Station Road was dropping his pants.

Daughters went to the 7800 block of Clark Station Road, where he found the man standing in the middle of the northbound lane exposing himself.

Daughters detected the smell of alcohol and said the man was slurring his speech, police said. The officer arrested him after he argued police and began yelling obscenities, police said.
