Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Western District

Assault/arrest: A 35-year-old man was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman in the hallway of an apartment building in the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St. on Sunday. Police said the man also is suspected of committing two rapes in the same hallway several days earlier. The rape victims identified the man from police photos.

Eastern District

Stabbing: A 12-year-old girl was arrested and charged as a juvenile in the stabbing of another female during an incident in the 500 block of N. Robinson St. early yesterday. The victim was not seriously injured.

Central District

Bank robbery: A man robbed the NationsBank in the first block of N. Calvert St. yesterday afternoon after giving a teller a holdup note. No weapon was displayed.

Assault: A motorist was stopped at President and Pratt streets Saturday afternoon when three teen-age squeegee boys began washing the windshield of his 1993 Mazda. When the driver objected, the boys threw stones and struck the driver in the head. The motorist refused medical treatment.

Robbery: A woman was in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Blvd. on Sunday when a gunman exited a car and robbed her of her purse containing $20.

Robbery: A 42-year-old security officer at the State Office Building complex in the 200 block of E. Preston St. was in the first block of W. Eager St. on Saturday when two men robbed her of cash and property, all valued at $80.

Southwestern District

Shooting: A 33-year-old man was shot in the leg and head yesterday during an attempted robbery in the hallway of an apartment building where he lives in the first block of N. Beechfield Ave. He was treated at St. Agnes Hospital.

Drug arrest: A 22-year-old resident of the 2500 block of Hollins St. was arrested Sunday at Westside Shopping Center in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. and charged with possession of suspected cocaine with intent to distribute. Police found 31 vials of the suspected drug in his possession.

White Marsh Precinct

Rape: A 35-year-old Baltimore City woman reported she was raped inside a van Sunday morning by a man who offered her a ride home from White Marsh Boulevard. The woman told police that after she entered the van, the man locked the doors and threatened her with a gun before driving to an unknown location and raping her.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary/arrest: Police responding to a burglary in the first block of Flint Ridge Court on Sunday morning arrested a 23-year-old man.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Four bikes with a combined value of more than $1,000 were stolen Saturday from a shed in the 1800 block of Loch Shiel Road.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Royal Farm store in the 500 block of W. Seminary Ave. on Sunday. Before fleeing, he opened the security camera and removed the film.

Robbery: As employees of Caldor at Timonium Mall in the 100 block of W. Ridgely Road opened the store Sunday morning, they were accosted by a gunman who ordered one of them to open the safe. The gunman, who apparently had hidden in the store overnight, escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.
