Clemson: Announced basketball G Johnny Miller is transferring from Temple.

Frostburg State: Announced that Nancy Crawley, who has been women's tennis coach for past 25 years, has been named women's volleyball coach. Lonnie Athey, who has been men's tennis coach last eight years, also will coach women's team.

Texas: Named Burt Hooton and Tommy Harmon assistant baseball coaches.

Bears: Waived K Kevin Butler, DE Scotty Lewis, T Ron Cherry, WR Mill Coleman, RB Michael Hicks, CB Chris Martin and TE Bobby Neely.

Falcons: Waived QB Perry Klein.

NPSL: Announced Peter Pocklington has purchased the Chicago Power and moved the club to Edmonton, where it will begin play this season.
