Highlights: Saw first NFL action against Cincinnati in September 1993. Earned first-team All-Big West honors as a senior guard with 85 percent blocking grade. As a junior was honorable mention All-Big West with six starts at defensive tackle.

Personal: Transferred from Purdue after sophomore season. Named Parade, Super Prep and Prep Football All-American as a senior defensive lineman at Blue Springs (Mo.) High School. Twice lettered in basketball and track. Married (Cathy) with daughter Connie (5) and son Evan (2).

How acquired: Cleveland's third-round pick in 1990 NFL draft.

Highlights: Has played in all but two games over past six seasons. Led Browns in sacks last season (eight) and in 1993 (11). Has combined with Rob Burnett for 74 sacks. Second among defensive linemen with 79 tackles last season. Played in 75th game against the Giants in December 1993 and recorded 10 tackles. Had a career-high three sacks at Pittsburgh in 1993. In first career start against Houston in 1990, he led the team with seven solo tackles.

Personal: Earned first-team All-America honors and All-Ohio Valley Conference honors as a college senior. Won All-America, All-State and All-Conference honors at Century (Fla.) High School. Lettered in basketball and baseball. Was a criminal justice major. Speaks to groups about his determination to play in the NFL, which includes a strong anti-drug and anti-alcohol message to youngsters. Would like to become a minister someday to work with kids.
