A Baltimore County man has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a 20-year-old Ellicott City woman when she was a minor, Howard County District Court records show.

Douglas Alden Wood, 57, of the 17000 block of Big Falls Road in Monkton, was charged Monday with two second-degree sex offenses, two third-degree sex offenses, one fourth-degree sex offense, one count of battery and one count of assault. He posted $20,000 bond that day.

The charges came after the woman, whose family is acquainted with Wood, told Howard County police Aug. 1 that Wood fondled her and engaged in oral sex with her from 1987 when she was 11 to 1994.

Wood was convicted of a third-degree sex offense involving a child last November in Baltimore County. He received a three-year suspended sentence and three years of probation.
