THE NORTH County High School guidance staff will present an orientation program for freshmen and newcomers to the system and their parents at 6: 30 p.m. Tuesday. Introductions of the guidance staff, an overview of the guidance services available to students and parents, an explanation of opening-day procedures, homeroom assignments and a tour of the building will be on the agenda for the evening.

At the end of the tour, guidance staff members will be available for questions.

The school store will be selling physical education uniforms and general back-to-school items. PTSA membership applications will be accepted. Dues for the 1996-1997 school year are $3 for a single membership and $5 for a family.

Marching band rehearsals continue this week from 6: 30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the band room. Tomorrow, only the woodwinds and bandfront should report. Tuesday through Friday will be full band rehearsals.

AIA crab feast

It's time to get your tickets for the Arundel Improvement Association crab feast, which will take place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the AIA Hall, 705 Cross St. Hot steamed crabs, crab soup, corn on the cob, hot dogs and sauerkraut, baked beans, salads, beer and soda are on the menu. Live music will be played by M & M's.

Immunizations offered

The Brooklyn Park Health Center, 300 Hammonds Lane, will offer a free immunization clinic for children from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Back-to-school exams

Is your child in need of a back-to-school physical or sports physical? Harbor Hospital Center is offering exams for school-age children at the Harbor Family Care facility across the street from the hospital.

Height and weight measurements, screening for hearing and vision problems and scoliosis screenings will be conducted by a pediatrician. Physicals are free, but there may be a charge for lab work and immunizations.

The Family Care Center is open for physicals from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays.
