South Baltimore man charged with murder in stabbing death

Police issued a warrant yesterday charging a South Baltimore man with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of his girlfriend.

Charles R. Hicks III, 31, of the first block of W. Clement St. is being sought in the slaying of his live-in girlfriend, identified as Nancy Klotz, 26.

Police said Klotz's body was found Friday evening by her children in the bathroom on the first floor of the Clement Street home she and Hicks shared.

The suspect is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

He was last seen driving a blue 1992 Plymouth van with Maryland license plates BNW-119. Anyone with information is asked to call city homicide detectives at 396-2100.
