August 14, 1996

Police arrested a Glen Burnie man Sunday on charges he exposed himself to a J. C. Penney employee, county police said.

Christopher Waite Murray, 26, of the 7800 block of Americana Circle was charged with indecent exposure.

Toula Karditzas, 66, told police she was smoking a cigarette while on break about 2 p.m. near the entrance of the store at Marley Station. A van pulled up and the driver called to her for directions to Sears.

Karditzas approached the 1985 Dodge minivan to give the man directions and the driver exposed himself to her, police said.

Karditzas noted the van's tag number and called police, who traced to tag to the Americana Circle address. Another officer went to the address and found the truck and its owner, who fit the description of the offender.

The man volunteered to return to the store, where Karditzas identified him as the man who exposed himself. Police arrested him.
