What's become of the Grateful Dead in the year since the band's leader, Jerry Garcia, died?

Phil Lesh: The bassist continues as the CEO of the multimillion-dollar Dead business while working on his own classical music projects. He occasionally plays in public.

Bob Weir: The singer-guitarist co-headlined the Furthur Festival summer tour with his band Ratdog. Weir also is collaborating on a Broadway musical.

Mickey Hart: The Dead's percussionist scored the music for the opening ceremonies of the Olympics before rejoining his band, Mystery Box, on tour.

Bill Kreutzmann: The Dead's original percussionist has taken time off, but he recently sat in with a club band in Hawaii.

Robert Hunter: The Dead's songwriter/poet has contributed lyrics to several Dead-related bands while working on his own projects, including some World Wide Web sites.
