As a senior in 1995, he started all 11 games and finished second on the team with 90 tackles, including 66 solo stops. Consistent performer who never had fewer than five tackles a game his senior year.

Personal: Graduated from El Molino High School in Villa Grande, Calif. Named Defensive Player of the Year in the Sonoma County league as a linebacker. Majored in human biodynamics with emphasis on physical therapy at Cal.

Was named to the 1995 Bob Griese College Football Pre-Season All-SWAC team. As a junior, had five interceptions, taking one for a touchdown.

Personal: Has been timed at 4.53 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Lettered as a defensive back at Belle Glade High School in Florida. Graduated from Alcorn State with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education in 1994. Attended graduate school at Alcorn in 1995, working toward a master's in the same field.
