1994 Kermit Lynch Macon-Villages ($12)

Kermit Lynch, one of this country's premier importers of French wine, has established his name as a virtual guarantee of %J high-quality products. This crisp, flavorful, reasonably priced white Burgundy is no exception. Nobody is going to mistake it for a grand cru Meursault, but it soars far above the average Macon-Villages with its fine grip and appealing flavors of apple, smoke and minerals. Its fine acidity makes it a better candidate for serving with seafood than most California chardonnays. Restaurateurs, take note.
