Businesses to help provide croquet court, fish pond

Two county businesses are donating money to Carroll County Farm Museum for two new attractions -- a croquet court and a fish pond.

Martin P. Hill Landscaping of Manchester will provide the croquet court, which will be surrounded by 40 holly bushes. The company will provide the labor, equipment and materials for the project and will be assisted by Ross Bair from the 4-H Horticulture Club.

Wal-Mart of Westminster will donate the proceeds from its annual carnival tomorrow and Sunday to the museum for a fish pond, which will be located near the windmill in the pasture.

Money from the local carnival will be matched by Wal-Mart's home office.
