2 men rob woman at gunpoint in home

August 02, 1996

Two men held a 53-year-old woman at gunpoint Wednesday night while they ransacked the office in her house on a secluded road in Gambrills, then made off with an undisclosed amount of money, county police said yesterday.

Beverly Johnson of the 3500 block of Patuxent Preserve Lane told police her dog was barking in her home shortly before 11 p.m., and she went to downstairs check.

She was confronted by two masked men, both armed with semiautomatic handguns, who demanded money, police said. It is not clear how they got into the house.

Johnson told police she directed the men to her landscaping business office, which they ransacked, took money and left.
