Gunman steals cash from Days Inn hotel

August 01, 1996

A gunman held up an Annapolis hotel Tuesday for an undisclosed amount of money, county police said yesterday.

The man entered the Days Inn in the 1500 block of Whitehall Road about 10: 30 p.m., pointed a handgun at the clerk and ordered him to put the money from the register on the counter. When the clerk complied, the bandit scooped up the money and ran out of the front door, police said.
