The county Board of Zoning Appeals has approved a request by Marilyn E. Cross of 832 Frizzellburg Road for a one-chair barbershop in her home.
Cross would be the sole owner and operator of the conditional-use barbershop. No one spoke in opposition to the request at a hearing July 24.
Cross, a licensed barber, will take clients by appointment only during business hours. She plans to provide adequate parking and upgrade her driveway to comply with zoning regulations.

Taneytown: Firefighters responded for an investigation in the 500 block of Trevanion Terrace at 11: 51 a.m. Monday. Units were out 15 minutes.
