Residents reminded to mow their lawns

July 29, 1996

Hampstead officials are reminding residents and businesses that the town requires that lawns be mowed.

Chapter 47 of the Hampstead Code stipulates that no owner or occupant of any property within corporate limits shall permit weeds or grass to grow higher than 12 inches.

Anyone who has been found in violation will be given seven days to mow the grass.

After that, penalties will be charged, and the town will have the grass mowed at the owner's expense.
