Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Central District

Robbery: An employee of the Downtown Locker Room in the first block of N. Calvert St. was about to enter a bank across the street from the store to make a deposit yesterday when a gunman robbed him.

Shoplifting/arrest: A 38-year-old man entered Food Cart in the 200 block of N. Charles St. yesterday, and employees recognized him as the man suspected of stealing four lawn chairs days earlier. Ezell Jackson of the 600 block of W. Franklin St. was charged with theft.

Northwestern District

Theft from auto: The battery of a car parked in the 5700 block of Wabash Ave. was stolen Wednesday.

Western District

Burglary: A videocassette recorder and video games, all valued at more than $400, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1000 block of Appleton St.

Robbery: A woman was in the 2500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. on Wednesday when a man robbed her of jewelry valued at more than $200.

Burglary: Two hundred dollars were stolen Wednesday from Polee Mart in the 1000 block of W. Baltimore St. Entry was gained through the roof.

Northeastern District

Theft: A Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver valued at more than $300 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 2800 block of Kennedy Ave.

Robbery: Two men attacked a man near the victim's home in the 2200 block of Portland St. on Wednesday and robbed him of property valued at nearly $400.

Robbery: A man was in the 1500 block of Havenwood Road on Wednesday when two men robbed him of a pager valued at $100.

Burglary: Computer equipment valued at $4,000 was stolen Wednesday from Monarch Services in the 4500 block of Harford Road. Entry may have been gained with a key.

Towson Precinct

Stolen car: A 1995 Chevrolet Lumina with Virginia tags VSU9303 was stolen Wednesday in the 6600 block of Loch Hill Road.

Stolen car: A 1994 Lexus with tags BWA 030 was stolen in the 7900 block of Ruxway Road on Wednesday.

Burglary: A cellular phone and cash were stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of Brooks Court.

Cockeysville Precinct

Shoplifting: A woman was arrested Wednesday when she attempted to leave Caldor in the 100 block of W. Ridgely Road without paying for property valued at more than $300.

Garrison Precinct

Bank robbery: A man robbed the Provident Bank of Maryland at Pomona Square in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road in Pikesville of an undisclosed sum of money Wednesday. The robber drove away in a car with unknown New York tags.

Stolen car: A 1992 Honda Accord with Pennsylvania tags RGC 071 was stolen Wednesday in the 7600 block of Park Heights Ave.

Theft from vehicle: Golf clubs, a watch and a telephone, all valued at more than $3,000, were stolen Wednesday from a car parked in the 2300 block of Falls Gable Way.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Jewelry valued at more than $3,000 and $6,000 were stolen Wednesday from an apartment at the Townebrook Apartments in the first block of Greenbury Court.
