Westminster: Firefighters from Reese assisted Westminster at 10: 41 a.m. Thursday, responding to a gas leak at Carroll Plaza at Route 140 and Englar Road. Units were out 30 minutes.

Pleasant Valley: Firefighters responded at 5 p.m. Thursday to burning electrical wires in the 300 block of Silver Run Valley Road. Units were out one hour and 40 minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters from Reese, Pleasant Valley and Manchester assisted Westminster units at 8: 27 p.m. Thursday, responding to a building fire on North Center Street. Units were out 20 minutes.

Police

Westminster: A Taneytown woman told police that the convertible top of her car was slashed Wednesday while it was parked at the 140 Village shopping center. Damage was estimated at $800.
