Boston activates Greenwell

The Boston Red Sox yesterday activated outfielder Mike Greenwell, who had been on the disabled list since May 3 with a fractured left ring finger.

Greenwell walked as a pinch hitter last night.

Boston designated left-hander Eric Gunderson (0-1, 4.85 ERA in 20 games) for assignment.
