Pasadena woman robbed at gunpoint

A Pasadena woman was robbed of her purse at gunpoint Wednesday as she was about to enter a Glen Burnie restaurant, county police said.

Norma Jean Wallace, 49, of Solley Road told police she was walking from the parking lot to the Fortune Cooky Restaurant in the 7900 block of Crain Highway, when a man approached and demanded her purse.

When Wallace refused to hand it over, the man pulled a black handgun from his waistband and repeated his demand, police )) said.

Wallace complied, and the gunman ran away with her purse, police said.

6 Glen Burnie boys charged with breaking into building

Police arrested six Glen Burnie boys ranging in age from 11 to 13 Wednesdayand charged them with breaking into the North Glen Improvement Association and stealing softballs, bats and other items, county police said.

The youths were issued citations and released to their parents.

Officers went to the 300 block of Wellham Ave. shortly before 11 a.m. after a neighbor called and told them youths had broken into the building.

Police arrested five of the youths at the scene. The sixth, who ran away, was arrested at an unspecified location later, police said.

The stolen items were recovered at the scene.
