Two men were arrested in Jessup Monday in connection with a stolen vehicle police say was taken in a carjacking in Baltimore July 10.

James Ellis Brown, 34, and James Stallings, 32, both of Baltimore, were charged Monday with auto theft, Howard County police said.

Both were in custody at the Howard County Detention Center yesterday. Brown was being held on $1,500 bond while Stallings was being held on $250,000 bond, police said.

Police said the men were seen Monday morning sleeping in a 1984 Lincoln Continental with Virginia license plates at the intersection of Assateague Drive and Rappahannock Avenue in the Maryland Wholesale Food Center.

A computer check at the scene showed that the car had been taken in a carjacking July 10. Police said they also found a pellet pistol in the vehicle.
