Beth Shalom plans to break ground for religious school

Beth Shalom breaks ground for the first religious school under Jewish auspices in Carroll County at 4: 30 p.m. Sunday.

The Taylorsville congregation plans a six-classroom building adjoining its synagogue at 202 Liberty Road. A kosher barbecue will follow the groundbreaking.

Mount Airy: Firefighters responded at 1: 49 a.m. Wednesday to a shed fire in the 2900 block of Florence Road. Units were out 10 minutes.
