Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Southeastern District

Shooting: A 67-year-old tractor-trailer driver was in the 200 block of S. Broadway on Tuesday night when he got in an argument with two men. One of the men pulled a handgun and tried to rob the trucker, who resisted and was shot at least twice in the upper body. The trucker was in serious condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Western District

Weapon arrest: Police were in the 800 block of N. Payson St. on Tuesday night when they spotted a man with what appeared to be a handgun. After searching him, police recovered a loaded .25-caliber Colt semiautomatic handgun and arrested the 26-year-old resident of the 1900 block of Mosher St.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A boy was riding his 20-inch bike in the 5700 block of Radecke Ave. on Tuesday when a man knocked him to the ground and stole the bike, valued at $150.

Robbery: A man was in the 3700 block of Ednor Road on Tuesday when he knocked a boy off his bike, valued at nearly $200, and stole it.

Northwestern District

Church burglary: A television valued at $400 was stolen Tuesday from True Christianity Faith Temple Church in the 4100 block of Park Heights Ave.

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Hi Gear automotive supply store in the 4100 block of Patterson Ave. on Tuesday.

Southwestern District

Theft: Sections of the aluminum bleachers and steel brackets were stolen between June 20 and July 9 from the athletic field at Walbrook Senior High School in the 2000 block of Edgewood St. Police believe the property was sold for scrap metal and were visiting local metal dealers to see if any of them purchased the stolen property.

Robbery: A Cockeysville man was standing near a pay telephone rTC in the 3300 block of Frederick Ave. on Tuesday night when another man, who implied he was armed with a handgun, robbed him of a pager and $5.

Burglary: A clock-radio, hand and power tools and a vacuum cleaner, all valued at nearly $1,200, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 700 block of Edgewood St.

Assault: A 24-year-old Columbia man was standing outside a restaurant in the 3300 block of Old Frederick Road on Tuesday when another man struck him over the head with an unknown weapon. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Cockeysville Precinct

Rape: An 18-year-old woman told police she accompanied a man driving a red pickup truck to an unknown area of Green Spring Valley on Monday and was raped. The woman was treated at the rape crisis center at Greater Baltimore Medical Center.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: A woman was at Lowell Drive and Colonial Road in Pikesville on Tuesday when a man twisted her arm and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at nearly $50.

Burglary: Someone entered an apartment in the 8000 block of Woodgate Court through a crawl space Tuesday and stole more than $100.

Burglary: Jewelry and cash, all valued at more than $6,000, were stolen from an apartment in the 7200 block of Valley Country Court. The incident occurred between May and June but was not reported until Tuesday.

Woodlawn Precinct

Theft: An 85-year-old woman was seated in her parked car in the 1000 block of Ingleside Ave. on Tuesday when a man reached through an open window and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $40.
