For the fun of it

July 11, 1996

Once upon a time, the Mount Royal Tavern came up with an art show called "Foodscape" designed to point out the lack of local artists in Baltimore's annual Artscape festival, which starts next week. The exhibit has returned, but now that the organizers believe Artscape is meeting its mission, their theme has become more playful than rebellious.

Among the artists featured at the show, which begins Sunday, are Kevin Bolger, Jim Burger, Michael Hamilton, Terry Haney, Linda Johnson, J. Kelly Lane, Ann Naito, Richard Roth, Laura Vernon Russell, Ron Russell and Peter Yuill.

The show at the Tavern, 1204 W. Mount Royal Ave., opens with a reception on Sunday from 5: 30 p.m. to 7: 30 p.m. and runs through July 27. Call (410) 669-6686 for more information.
