Three new stop signs are planned at Clearview, Ralph in Hampstead

July 08, 1996

The town of Hampstead will install three stop signs at intersections on Clearview and Ralph avenues to reduce speeding in the Roberts Field neighborhood.

The signs, which will be enforced beginning July 15, will be at Clearview and Huntsman Trail, Clearview and Ralph, and Ralph and Century Street.

Violators will be fined $65.

Town officials approved installation of the signs because the streets have become a popular alternate route for motorists trying to avoid traffic on Route 30.

The streets don't have sidewalks and frequently are used by pedestrians.
