Reds: Optioned IF-OF Eric Owens to Triple-A Indianapolis. Recalled IF Eduardo Perez from Indianapolis. Claimed P Giovanni Carrara on waivers from the Blue Jays and optioned him to Indianapolis. Fired Tommy Thompson, manager of Single-A Charleston, and named Donnie Scott interim manager.

White Sox: Recalled P Luis Andujar from Triple-A Nashville. Sent P Alan Levine to Nashville.

Yankees: Signed OF Jackson Melian.
