Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Northeastern District

Shooting: A 20-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were shot early Wednesday in the 4000 block of Old York Road. Police said a burgundy car pulled up to the victims about 3: 30 a.m. and a passenger asked for directions. The passenger then got out of the car and opened fire, hitting the man in the left buttock and the woman in the left foot. Both victims were treated at Union Memorial Hospital.

Western District

Shooting: A 17-year-old male was shot in the left hand about 11: 15 p.m. Tuesday in the 3100 block of W. Baltimore St. Police said the teen was walking on the street when he heard gunfire and felt his hand hurt. He was treated at St. Agnes Hospital.

Wilkens Precinct

Arson: A 1991 Toyota Tercel was set on fire at 6: 30 a.m. yesterday in the 100 block of Twin Circle South.

Burglary: More than $1,000 worth of property was stolen yesterday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. from a home in the 1200 block of Vogt Ave.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: A 1986 white, four-door Dodge Omni was stolen between 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Wednesday from the 5000 block of Old Court Road.

Essex Precinct

Arson: A vacant home in the 3400 block of Eastern Ave. was set on fire about 2 p.m. yesterday, causing an estimated $30,000 damage.

For the Record:

Victim identified: A man found shot to death Wednesday evening in the 2000 block of E. 20th St. was identified yesterday as Charles O. Pittman, 32, of the 4200 block of Harford Terrace.

Arrest: Police charged Ronnie Jackson, 30, of the 5700 block of Leith Walk with first-degree murder yesterday in the Wednesday stabbing death of Alexander Green, 21, of the 3400 block of Cedardale Road. Police said the victim was found in a rear bedroom of his home with multiple stab wounds to his chest and throat.

Arrest: Police yesterday arrested Paula Lee Joynce, 37, of the 1800 block of N. Chester St., and charged her with first-degree murder in the murder of her roommate on Wednesday. The victim was identified as William Christian, 53. He was found stabbed in a hallway outside his bedroom.
