Blue Jays: Placed OF Juan Samuel on 15-day DL. Activated OF Otis Nixon from DL.

Brewers: Agreed to terms with P Jose Garcia, 1B Kevin Barker, 3B Joshua Klimek, OF Ramon Fernandez, P Philip Kendall and P Al Hawkins. Assigned Garcia, Kendall, Hawkins, Klimek and Fernandez to Rookie League Helena and Barker to Rookie League Ogden.

Expos: Signed former Orioles P John Habyan to contract with Triple-A Ottawa.

Marlins: Placed IF Edgar Renteria on 15-day DL, retroactive to Monday. Recalled IF Ralph Milliard from Triple-A Charlotte.
