A state health department employee was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday morning after a trash truck struck her car on Francis Scott Key Highway (Route 194) near the Keymar Airport, Maryland State Police at the Westminster barracks said.
Patricia Ruth Sacco, 52, of Bel Air, was in serious but stable condition last night.
Jack Lust, 41, of Kearneyville, W. Va., a driver for Laidlaw Waste Systems of Gaithersburg, was not injured, according to the police. He was issued a citation in the collision.
