Columbia Bank names vice presidents

Columbia Bank has announced that Mary Beth Taylor and Ron Ballard have been named vice presidents and Kelly Potter has been promoted to assistant vice president of acquisition, development and construction lending.

Taylor rejoins Columbia Bank after working for the Bank of Baltimore.

Ballard was senior vice president of lending for Atlantic Federal in Towson.

Potter, a former FDIC examiner, has worked for the Columbia Bank since 1993 as a credit analyst and a loan officer. Kristin Schwitzer was named director of strategic planning for Marriner Marketing Communications in Columbia.

She previously worked for W.B. Doner and was a brand manager for Procter & Gamble. The Enterprise Foundation announced that Reynard Ramsey has been named president and chief operating officer.

Before joining the foundation in 1993, she served three years as director of Oregon's Housing and Community Services Department.

The Foundation was established by James and Patricia Rouse in 1982 to help provide affordable homes for low-income residents.

Reese joins law firm

Mary C. Reese of Howard County has joined the law firm Reese and Carney in Columbia.

She had been an assistant state's attorney with the Howard County state's attorney office for six years.
