Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Southern District

Robbery: A 20-year-old man was riding a moped in the 1400 block of W. Ostend St. on Wednesday when a man pushed him off the bike and drove away.

Central District

Burglary/arrest: Police arrested a man Wednesday on suspicion of trying to steal cigarettes and other property -- all valued at nearly $500 -- from the Extra Extra Newsstand at Charles Plaza in the 200 block of N. Charles St.

Stolen car: A 1993 Nissan with tags BAV 461 was stolen Wednesday in the 300 block of N. Eutaw St.

Northern District

Burglary: A humidifier and two air conditioners, all valued at nearly $1,000, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of E. 25th St.

Robbery: A woman was in the 3100 block of Greenmount Ave. on Wednesday when a man robbed her of cash and property, all valued at $50.

Western District

Burglary: A 13-inch television and stereo equipment, all valued at $600, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 2300 block of Windsor Ave.

Southwestern District

Burglary: A 13-inch television valued at $200 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1600 block of N. Hilton St.

Northeastern District

Robbery: Three teen-age boys, one with a handgun, robbed Little Joe's Pizzeria in the 5400 block of Sinclair Lane of more than $100 Wednesday.

Purse snatch: A woman was walking near her home in the 4800 block of Sinclair Lane on Wednesday when a man stole her purse.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A woman was in the 2300 block of Wichita Ave. on Wednesday when a man asked if she wanted a ride. When the woman declined, the man pulled out a handgun and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $60.

Stabbing: Two men were arguing in an alley behind the 3400 block of Dupont Ave. on Wednesday when one of them was stabbed in the abdomen with a steak knife. The victim -- a resident of the 2900 block of Rosalind Ave. -- was in fair condition at Sinai Hospital yesterday.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A television and a videocassette recorder, all valued at more than $400, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 6000 block of Starleigh Road.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A man with a knife robbed Ann's Touch of Class, a tanning salon in the 700 block of S. Marlyn Ave., of less than $50 Wednesday. The held the weapon to an employee's chest.

Parkville Precinct

Carjacking: After picking up a hitch-hiker and driving the man to the 8400 block of Morven Road early Wednesday morning, the driver was forced from his 1982 Chevrolet Malibu by the the passenger, who implied he was armed with a handgun. Later, police spotted the car in the White Marsh area and arrested the suspect. Christopher A. Young, 30, of the 3500 block of E. Baltimore St. in Baltimore City, was charged with carjacking, armed robbery and related offenses. he was being held at the county Detention Center in lieu of $177,000 bail.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A woman was at Hillsway and Wentworth Avenue on Wednesday when two boys stole her purse containing cash and a pager.

North Point Precinct

Robbery: A 13-year-old boy was riding his bike near Shipping Place on Wednesday when two older youths, one with a handgun, took the bike.
