Baltimore woman charged with stealing clothing

A Baltimore woman was arrested Tuesday on charges of shoplifting more than $147 worth of clothing from an Ames store in Pasadena, county police said.

Oneida Louise Brooks, 35, of the 3800 block of West Bay Ave. in Brooklyn was charged with theft.

William A. Long, a security guard for the store in the 8100 block of Ritchie Highway, told police that he saw the woman take a shopping cart to the women's section shortly after 1 p.m. and load it with seven T-shirts, four pairs of shorts and three pairs of pants.

The woman took the shopping cart to the shoe department where she stuffed the items in the front of her pants and into a large black purse and walked out of the store, police said.

Pasadena youth charged in theft of magazines

Police arrested a Pasadena youth Monday and charged him with stealing three magazines from a Royal Farms store, county police said.

The youth, 17, was charged with theft and released to his parents.

John Quick, manager of the store in the 2500 block of Mountain Road, told police that he saw the youth pick up three magazines worth $17 from a store display shortly before 10: 30 p.m., walk to the back of the store, then return to the counter without the magazines.

When Quick confronted the youth outside the store, the magazines fell from inside his T-shirt, police said.

The youth ran to a car and sped off, but police found him through his vehicle license number .
