A man on a bicycle rode up to a motorist stopped at a traffic light at an East Baltimore intersection and fatally shot him yesterday afternoon, police said.

Homicide Detective Robert Bowman said Antwan Greer, 22, of the 500 block of N. Streeper St., who was driving west, was waiting at Orleans and Caroline streets at 3: 30 p.m. when a gunman on a red bicycle rode up to the open driver's side window and opened fire.

The assailant rode away.

Greer drove two blocks, made a U-turn at Orleans and Aisquith streets, then crashed into a fence near the intersection, Bowman said. Greer died at 4: 30 p.m. at Johns Hopkins Hospital, police said.
