Woman choked, robbed in her driveway

A Pasadena woman was choked and robbed of $84 Monday in the driveway of her house, county police said yesterday.

The woman, Donna Lou Walter, 27, of the 700 block of Powhatan Beach Road, did not need medical treatment. She told police she arrived home about 6: 25 p.m. and started talking to a man whom she knew who was waiting in her driveway.

The man asked her how much money she had, then grabbed her by the throat, reached into her apron, and removed $84 in cash. He was last seen running west on Powhatan Beach Road.

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Patrick Vincent Allen, 22, of the 7700 block of Freetown Road.
