Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Southern District

Burglary: Tools valued at more than $1,300 were stolen Monday from a house in the 1500 block of Hazel St.

Shooting: A 24-year-old resident of the 2700 block of Carver St. was near his home Monday night when he was shot in the left ankle by a gunman. He was treated at Harbor Hospital Center.

Central District

Burglary: A videocassette recorder, microwave oven and television, all valued at $800, were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 2100 block of McCulloh St. after the occupant fled when a fire broke out in a basement apartment.

Northern District

Robbery: A woman was in the 500 block of Venable Ave. when a gunman robbed her of more than $100 Monday.

Burglary: A VCR, tapes, radio and a TV game, all valued at more than $800, were stolen Monday from a house in the 700 block of Gorsuch Ave.

Southeastern District

Robbery: A 36-year-old woman was in the 300 block of S. Ann St. Monday when a man robbed her of $40.

Northwestern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a woman of more than $200 moments after she left the Kmart in the 4300 block of W. Northern Parkway on Monday.

Western District

Robbery: A 30-year-old man was in the 1200 block of W. Saratoga St. on Monday when two men, one with a handgun, forced him into an alley and robbed him of jewelry, a wallet and a cellular phone, all valued at $900.

Stolen car: A red 1989 Chevrolet truck with tags 671208M was stolen Monday in the 1900 block of Presstman St.

Stolen car: A 1993 Mercury Tracer with tags BJG 451 was stolen Monday in the 500 block of Arlington Ave.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed Six Pax & More Liquors in the 5900 block of Belair Road of more than $100 Monday.

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Hamilton News Mart in the 5400 block of Harford Road on Monday.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrests: Police arrested a couple who tried to leave the Kmart in the 200 block of North Point Blvd. on Monday without paying for a telephone, clock-radio and pine bedding, all valued at more than $500. Police said the man lives in the 300 block of S. Bentalou St. in Baltimore and the woman in the 5600 block of Old Washington Road in Sykesville.

Burglary: Tools, car jacks and holiday decorations, all valued at more than $200, were stolen Monday from a storage locker in an apartment building in the 2100 block of Cameron Drive.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A large amount of jewelry and a TV were stolen Monday from a home in the 400 block of Terrace Way.
