Robbers threatened an Ellicott City man with a knife Saturday, searched his pockets and fled with his cash, Howard County police said.

The victim, Reginald Nicolas of the 3200 block of Wheaton Way, was not injured, police said.

Two men approached Nicolas about 1: 30 a.m. while he was in a parking lot near his home. One of the men displayed a small knife, police said, and the men demanded cash.

They took a wallet from Nicolas' pocket and ran away.

The armed man was described as a slim white male, 17 to 18 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall. He had a thin black mustache and wore a dark green nylon sweat suit and a Nike baseball cap, police said.

Nicolas could not provide police with a detailed description of the second man because he wore a hooded sweat shirt. He weighs about 200 pounds and was wearing jeans and work boots, police said.
