Two men who claimed they owed an elderly Ellicott City woman's husband money searched her house Thursday while she called her husband to verify their story, Howard County police said.

Nothing was taken after the men entered the woman's home in the 9500 block of Old Annapolis Road about 3: 30 p.m.

After the woman answered her door, the men said they owed her husband cash.

The woman was skeptical but went to phone her husband, police said.

The men entered, roamed around the home without permission, then left.

They drove off in a full-sized brown pickup truck, police said.

One of the men was described as a white male in his mid-30s, about 5 feet, 9 inches.

He had a mustache and wore a dark jacket, jeans and a cap, police said.

The second man is a white male, 20 to 30, with blond hair and wearing bluejeans, police said.
