An article in Friday's edition of The Sun for Howard County gave an incorrect name for a new access road in Columbia Hills. The correct name is Meadowbrook Lane.

The Sun regrets the error.

A new, two-lane road connecting Sybert Drive and Long Gate Parkway has been completed on schedule after more than a year of construction.

The State Highway Administration on Wednesday opened the mile-long road,, which will be called Middlebrook Lane, and will provide Columbia Hills residents with access to Route 100.

FOR THE RECORD - CORRECTION

The speed limit on Middlebrook will be 30 mph. The road will end with a stop sign at a T-intersection with Sybert Drive.

The project included the construction of a 303-space Park-n-Ride commuter car pool lot just west of Route 100 at Long Gate Parkway.

The project cost the county $2.3 million dollars.
