Sunday festival hails Jewish past

You can celebrate 3000 years of Jewish heritage and history at "Jerusalem 3000: The Event of the Centuries," a festival Sunday on Park Heights Avenue between Glen Avenue and Northern Parkway, around the Jewish Community Center.

Singer-songwriter Peter Himmelman will headline the entertainment, which includes klezmer music and children's recording artist David Jack. An Israeli-style marketplace will be created for the festival, which also features ethnic food and a juried craft show.

Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Shuttle-bus service will be provided from Pimlico Racetrack and the Reisterstown Road Metro Station. Information: (410) 542-4900.
