Annapolis men beaten with baseball bats

June 06, 1996|By TaNoah Morgan | TaNoah Morgan,SUN STAFF

Two thugs wielding baseball bats beat two Annapolis men Monday in Meade Village for no apparent reason, county police said.

Larry Donnell Watts, 37, of the 1400 block of Shot Town Road was treated at North Arundel Hospital and released; his friend Robert Kenneth Green, 36, of the 1600 block of Clay Hill Road refused treatment.

Watts told police he was in the 1700 block of Meade Village Circle about 6 p.m., when two men whom he knew only by first names began beating him with baseball bats.

Green tried to help his friend, but he, too, was battered before the assailants sped off in a champagne-colored Toyota Corolla, police said.
