Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Eastern District

Drugs seized/dog shot: Police raiding a house in the 2400 block of E. Preston St. with a search and seizure warrant confiscated a quantity of drugs and drug packaging materials Monday. No arrests were made. During the raid, officers killed a pit bull dog that tried to attack members of the raiding party, police said.

Drug raids: Police raided two rowhouses in the 1700 block of Bradford St. and seized at least 150 vials and small plastic bags of suspected cocaine and suspected marijuana, more than $2,800 in cash, a 12-gauge shotgun and drug packaging materials Monday. No arrests were made.

Western District

Shooting: An unidentified man was shot and wounded Monday night at Monroe and Presbury streets. The victim was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A collector for Massey's furniture store in the 300 block of Eutaw St. was in the 2500 block of W. Lombard St. on Monday when a gunman robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money.

Northwestern District

Rape: Police were seeking a man who entered a house in the 4000 block of Alto Road yesterday and raped a woman. The woman was treated at Mercy Medical Center and released.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrest: A woman from the 8000 block of Eastdale Road was arrested Monday when she tried to leave the J. C. Penney store at Eastpoint Mall without paying for bed sheets valued at $300.

Theft: Someone stole an Exxon credit card from a resident of the 2800 block of Yorkway and over a period of several weeks used it to purchase more than $1,400 worth of gasoline and goods. The victim reported the theft yesterday.

Shoplifting/arrests: Police arrested a couple who tried to leave the Ames store at Eastpoint Mall without paying for lotions and creams valued at more than $100. With the couple was a baby in a stroller. Police said when a store security officer searched the stroller he found several containers of lotion hidden there.

Towson Precinct

Church burglary: Someone entered Loch Raven United Methodist Church in the 6600 block of Loch Raven Blvd. through a window Sunday night or Monday morning and stole more than $90 and credit cards.

Robberies: A gunman robbed the Steak & Egg Restaurant in the 6900 block of York Road Monday morning of about $70. Sunday night, a gunman and his female accomplice assaulted an employee of the same restaurant and demanded money from the cash register. When the employee said he could not open the register, the man struck him with the gun and robbed him of his jewelry and more than $100.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking a man who entered a nun's room at Stella Maris Hospice in the 2200 block of Dulaney Valley Road on Sunday and stole $28. The man was seen driving off in a red car of unknown make.

For the Record

Investigation: A woman whose decomposed body was found under a blanket in the basement of a house in the 800 block of Mount Holly St. on Sunday has been identified as Charlene Davoch Williams, 28, of the 3400 block of Woodland Ave. in Pimlico. The cause of death remained unknown yesterday, and the case remained under investigation by city homicide detectives.
