Elkridge: 300 block of Deep Run Parkway: Someone broke into two storage sheds between Thursday and Saturday and took tools.

Ellicott City: 2100 block of Sandhill Road: A shotgun was stolen from a home Friday or Saturday, but police said there was no sign of forced entry.

Ellicott City: 3600 block of Chatham Road: Someone broke glass on a house's door Friday, entered and took jewelry.

Ellicott City: 9400 block of U.S. 40: Someone pried open the door of a snowball stand Saturday or Sunday and stole a snowball machine.

Ellicott City: 10100 block of U.S. 40: A snowball machine was stolen from a snowball stand Friday or Saturday after someone kicked open its door to enter.

Ellicott City: 3400 block of Plum Tree Drive: Two cars -- a white 1992 Hyundai GLS with Maryland tags CCL-744 and a gray 1992 Honda Accord with Maryland tags ACP-111 -- were stolen Sunday. Police said someone also tried to steal a 1991 Honda Accord by breaking its ignition the same day.
