Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Central District

Robbery: An Essex woman was assaulted Sunday in the 400 block of N. Charles St. by a man who stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $700.

Theft from vehicle/arrests: Two brothers from the 5700 block of Northwood Drive were arrested Sunday when they were seen trying to sell property stolen from a car parked in the 2300 block of Eutaw Place. The owner of the car saw the men a short distance away and told a policeman that she recognized them.

Northeastern District

Stolen car: A four-door 1990 Dodge with Kansas tags IGI 255 was stolen Sunday in the 900 block of Chestnut Hill Ave.

Northern District

Stabbing: A 19-year-old man was in critical but stable condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was stabbed Sunday during an apparent robbery in an alley behind the 500 block of Chateau Ave. Police were seeking three men seen fleeing the area shortly before police found the victim stumbling from the alley.

Robbery: Two men, one holding a piece of wood, robbed another man of his wallet and $30 on Sunday in the 900 block of Argonne Drive.

Northwestern District

Stolen vehicle: A white 1991 Chevrolet Lumina with tags 782605M was stolen Sunday in the 4100 block of Fairview Ave.

Robbery: Two men, one wielding a metal pipe, robbed a man of more than $50 yesterday in the 2200 block of N. Dukeland St. The victim was struck with the pipe and suffered an injury to his right hand.

Southwestern District

Theft: Police were seeking a known suspect who entered the Frederick Station Saloon in the 4000 block of Frederick Ave. on Sunday and stole 22 cartons of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages, all valued at more than $600.

North Point Precinct

Vandalism: Someone threw a rock that shattered the windshield of a 1988 Ford pickup truck parked in the 3900 block of North Point Road on Sunday.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A man was struck with a bottle and robbed of more than $100 Sunday in the 1500 block of E. Joppa Road by a man who first asked the victim if he wanted to buy drugs.

Garrison Precinct

Assault: Police arrested a 29-year-old man accused of cutting his girlfriend with a broken bottle Sunday in their home in the 6700 block of Brighton Ave. The woman was treated at Northwest Hospital Center and released.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery try/assault: A knife-wielding robber demanded money about 10 a.m. Sunday from a man near his home in the 6700 block of Townbrook Drive, and cut him on the upper left leg when he tried to flee.
