Quance won't sue: Kristine Quance, disqualified for using an illegal stroke on a turn during the U.S. swimming trials, won't sue for the chance to compete in the 400-meter individual medley. "My attorneys believe we can win if we take this to federal court," she said. "But I have a feeling if we take this all the way I won't feel good about the win."

Hegg pedals ahead: Steve Hegg, an Olympic gold and silver medalist in 1984, won the national individual cycling time trials. It was his third straight victory in the five-race series to determine the U.S. team, and it vaulted him into the lead with one event left.
