An article in yesterday's editions of The Sun quoted Navy spokesman Cmdr. Steve Pietropaoli in a context that could have implied that the Navy is investigating whether Adm. Jeremy M. Boorda was entitled to the combat pins that figured in his suicide. Pietropaoli was referring to inquiries by journalists. He said the Navy is not conducting any inquiry.
