Architectural firm adds new principal

Raymond Piechocki has joined DRBrasher Architects of Columbia as a principal.

His expertise is in institutional, governmental and franchise retailing.

Westinghouse executive, Louis Goldstein honored

The BWI Business Partnership will salute State Comptroller Louis L. Goldstein and Richard A. Linder, executive vice president of Westinghouse Electric Corp., at 7: 45 a.m. Thursday at BWI Airport Marriott, 1743 W. Nursery Road in Hanover.

Corridor chamber to hold orientation

Israeli investment club formed by Jewish groups

The Baltimore Zionist District and the Jewish Federation of Howard County have formed the Howard County Israel Investment Club.

Members must invest a minimum of $250 capital investment and $50 each month in Israeli companies.

Taneytown bank promotes Ellicott City resident

C. Alan Jefferson of Ellicott City has been promoted to vice president in the commercial lending division at Taneytown Bank & Trust Co.

He serves on the Howard County Chamber's legislative committee, Columbia Patuxent Rotary Club and the Howard County Family YMCA's Board of Managers. Thomas J. Fallon of Columbia has been named director of the Maryland Transportation Authority's new division of strategic development. He will be responsible for developing new facilities, projects, partnerships and ventures.

He is a former chairman of the Oakland Mills Village Board. Dennis L. "Denny" Ortiz has been hired by Elkridge Bank as assistant vice president and commercial loan officer.

He will be responsible for lending to small businesses in Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties.
