Severn: Someone disabled an alarm system overnight Friday and broke into a house in the 7900 block of Poplar Grove Road in Severn to steal $879 worth of electronic equipment. Anthony A. Spero, who lives in the house, told county police he set his house alarm when he left at 6 p.m. Friday. When he returned shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday, he found the alarm off, a sliding glass door ajar, and a combination television/videocassette recorder and a second VCR missing.
